of probability problems and the odd controversial topic.

Lol, you probably think I'm some nerd who blogs about math. I don't, trust me on this one.

So i started off my day with a phone call from my snugglebunny <3
as always :)
yay! needed his luck on a quiz I had this morning. I had a quiz for Math 321 today. (Math 321 : Mathematical Probability) Ermm what can I say? It was ok i guess. Although, there was this one question that just made go BLANK :S like literally..

this is how it sounded like : Russ, Bryan and Terry are roomates. Every month they play a game to decide who pays everyones rent for the month. The game is such that each player rolls a die according to their turn. If the uppermost face of the die is a "1" the player has to pay the rent for all 3 roomates. The order of who rolls the die first depends on a number that each of them write down on a piece of paper (the number must be between 1 and 1000). It is given that Russ goes first, second, Terry and third is Brian. The probability of Terry losing and paying everyone's rent is 0.3(somethin-somethin) lol :P
Is there an unfair advantage for any player? Who is most likely to lose and pay everyone's rent?

like wtf? arggggh :S if anyone gets that in 10 mins, I salute you. SO anyway, after the quizzie, i spoke to my snugglebunny again on the bus ride home. I just love the talks we have. I fall inlove with him everytime I hear his sweet loving words. As much as it sucks that he's at the other end of the world, there's noone else I'd rather be with. Noone else I'd rather love and care for, unconditionally. We're are meant for each other and I know it :) uh uh i lafff him <3

I got home, was online for abit. Helped my mom create a letterhead design. Then, Gaby calls and says she's coming over. She came and we chatted while I had my spaghetti lunch. yummm :) then I made her a bowl of vanilla ice-cream and strawberries. my two favs :)
We sat on my bed and gossiped away. The major point we made today was very interesting. We were talking about how people can be such hypocrites ("religious" hypocrites for that matter). I mean I don't mind it if they did what they did without portraying themselves to be "holier than thou". Especially when they continuously go on and on about how religious they are and the next minute contradict themselves so blatantly. That just pisses me off. More specifically, I'm talking about people who say they can't do certain things during the month of Ramadhan (I'm not muslim btw, so do correct me if I'm wrong) but yet they do those exact same things when they break their fast at night. Now, how does that serve any purpose? For instance, they said they can't go clubbing(be around alcohol or any sort of intoxication) yet they go to a club after breaking their fast. Then they do shisha after breaking their fast. And another thing, they say that the main purpose of fasting is to feel how people without food feel. Yet when you look at it realistically, they probably eat more than what they normally eat in a day because instead of having 2-3 balanced meals a day, they pig out twice in the day which is probably equal to 3-4 meals. So how is that conserving food? How is that being considerate to those who can't afford food? Why can't they just donate food then? Isn't that a more realistic contribution rather than fasting(which has no effect on others whatsoever). Well that's my realization for the day, so sue me.

Anyway, in the heat of that convo, Gaby missed her contact-lens fitting appointment. Lol. So we just ended up walking around the mall for abit and then I went to Uni coz I had a meeting with my fellow ISA execs. At 6, I had business class. It went on till 9. Yeap, one looooooong day.

oooh something to tease your mind before I end this blog :

Add one stroke only to the equation to make it sensible. (There are at least 3 solutions for the equation)

5 + 5 + 5 = 550
5 + 5 + 5 = 550
5 + 5 + 5 = 550

that's it for today! <3
